Batu Bolong is one of Komodo’s signature sites. It’s a small rock pinnacle that just breaks the waters surface with it’s signature rocky arch and it lies right in the middle of the Linta Straight which is the heart of Komodo. 
Below this iconic rock formation, you would never guess that there was a rock at all because the entire foundation is encrusted with a rainbow of coral species. As we all know, a healthy coral substraight yields a riot of reef fish, which is exactly what you will find on a dive at Batu Bolong. It’s as if someone let off one of those confetti cannons at a parade because the entire water column around the site is full of dancing orange and purple anthias. White tips reefs sharks, napoleon wrass and
turtles cruise beyond the bustling little fish and an assortment of ambush predators like lion fish and moray eels lurk below hoping for an orange bite sized snack. I found it difficult to move from one barrel sponge with all the action around it!
